DANBURGH (Reuters) – A baby duck is being named after the first British born to Danish parents and a Danish-born baby is being christened after an Australian.
A Dutch baby duck named after an English-born Australian was born on Wednesday, a day after the Dutch Ministry of Culture said its first Danish baby was born in the country.
It is the first duck born in Denmark since 2014 and is the third duck born after the birth of a baby boy in 2018.
A duck with a white nose and dark grey skin is one of the three new babies born in 2017 to Dutch parents, a Dutch news website reported.
The duck is named after a Dutch artist, who created the duck in the late 1990s, the Dutch news site said.
